Just south of Dublin’s famous Strawberry Beds and near Palmerstown Village, Waterstown Park was until the 1980’s a family farm. The Park is covered by the Liffey Valley Special Amenity Area Order and is one of the most ecologically important Parks in Dublin. Close to Farmleigh Estate and the Phoenix Park as the crow flies, it consists of 8 distinct habitats including woodland, wet grassland and mature hedgerows. The Park is home to 300 species of plants, animals, birds and insects.
Waterstown Park has a track used for walking, jogging and cycling that ranges 5 kilometres. Tranquil walks can be enjoyed alongside the Liffey and the 19th century millrace in the Park.
