Tallaght Stadium

A modern and multipurpose venue, Tallaght Stadium is equipped to cater for up to 6,000 seated patrons in an excellent arena which has served the local area well since its opening in 2009.

The stadium, which is owned and run by South Dublin County Council, is best known for being the home of Ireland’s most successful football club Shamrock Rovers. Located close to the foothills of the Dublin Mountains, Tallaght Stadium has also hosted other sports ranging from American Football and Rugby to Archery.

Aside from sport, the venue offers conference facilities for up to 300 delegates, concert facilities for up to 20,000 attendees and is extremely accessible with both bus and LUAS services less than a 5 minute walk away.

Tallaght Stadium is a unique multi-purpose event space, offering flexibility, superior catering and AV facilities matched with the highest levels of customer service for all guests. The stadium has the facilities to allow you to host any type of event for a selection of guests from 2-20,000.

From spectacular gala balls, conferences, meetings, exhibitions and private parties to concerts, sporting events and outdoor events our stadium can cater for your needs. Viewing of our spaces is available by appointment. We look forward to welcoming you to Tallaght Stadium.

At last week’s council meeting, Mayor Guss O’ Connell welcomed plans to expand the seating capacity of Tallaght stadium from 6000 to 8000 at an estimated cost of €2m with the support of the elected members. Planning approval is to be sought immediately for the project which will ensure the stadium meets UEFA Category 4 standards and continue to host European matches in addition to being home to League of Ireland tenants Shamrock Rovers FC.

The proposed development will consist of the construction of a new single tier 2,195 seat, spectator stand, including associated ancillary and welfare facilities, within the boundaries of Tallaght Stadium to the south of the two existing spectator stands and pitch.
